New storytelling feature joins engaging Plenary lineup

It’s likely to get personal during Friday’s Plenary (P151), giving attendees the opportunity to soak up important lessons from four of their colleagues. DermTales, a new addition to the Summer Meeting, will showcase intriguing stories from four dermatologists about their practices. The stories may include everything from treatment options to practice management tips.

DermTales speakers, left to right: Robert T. Brodell, MD, Charles N. Ellis, MD, Steven T. Chen, MD, MPH, and Andrew Hart Weinstein, MD, MPH.

The four storytellers — or “slammers” — will each get 5 minutes to share a personal story about an experience that affected how they practice dermatology. While a number of dermatologists competed to earn the coveted spot on stage, this year’s first-time winners include Boynton Beach, Florida dermatologist Andrew Hart Weinstein, MD, MPH; Charles N. Ellis, MD, University of Michigan Medical School; Robert T. Brodell, MD, University of Mississippi Medical Center; and Steven T. Chen, MD, MPH, Massachusetts General Hospital. David M. Ozog, MD, Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit serves as the director of the Plenary.
