  • Groundbreaking advances headline Hot TopicsAttendees who stay until the final day of the 2017 AAD Summer Meeting will be rewarded with practice-changing presentations at “Hot Topics in Medical Dermatology” (S016). Eight presentations will address topics that include bacterial infections, eczematous dermatoses, viral diseases, malignant melanoma, dangerous dermatoses, psoriasis, and pigmentary disorders. > MORE
  • European, American dermatologists combine to share advancesAn annual highlight of the Summer Meeting is a unique collaboration between European and American dermatologists to share the similarities and differences of their research and treatments for a variety of conditions. The “EADV/AAD Joint Symposium” (S002) on July 27 will explore hemangiomas and vascular malformations, skin issues in cancer patients, systemic sclerosis, atopic dermatitis, and alopecia areata. > MORE
  • Assessment key for improving psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis outcomesNew treatments for psoriasis have improved outcomes, but the measurement of outcomes for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis lags. A Summer Meeting workshop will change that by teaching assessment skills using printed assessment materials, an app, and a patient-model for a demonstration. > MORE
  • Pick up treatment pearls during rounds-style sessionOne of the most effective teaching methods from medical school and residency will be used during the Summer Meeting. During “Dermatology Grand Rounds: Case-Based Dilemmas” (S010), faculty members will present cases and encourage discussion from the audience using an audience response system. > MORE

INC Programs are independent and not part of the official AAD Summer Meeting as planned by its Scientific Assembly Committee.
