‘Hot Topics’ to address subjects chosen by registrants

What’s the future of dermatology? Where do we go from here?  These issues will be addressed during “Hot Topics” (S010) to be presented from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 20. The symposium topics were derived from meeting registrants’ top three choices reflecting the medical/surgical and social/economic concerns of the membership.

Led by director David E. Cohen, MD, MPH, the session will be a potpourri of contemporary issues that currently impact the specialty. Expert speakers will tackle the topics in an interactive manner, designed to stimulate debate and minimize controversy.  The topics and speakers:

  • 3:10 p.m.: What’s New in Immunomodulation; Kenneth Gordon, MD, PhD
  • 3:30 p.m.: Cosmeceuticals: Fact or Fancy; Zoe Draelos, MD
  • 3:50 p.m.: Acne: What’s New; Jenny Kim, MD, PhD
  • 4:10 p.m.: Confocal Microscopy and Non-Invasive imaging Techniques; Harold Rabinovitz, MD
  • 4:25 p.m.: Drug Reaction Update; Kanade Shinkai, MD, PhD
