Get all the latest derm research in one session!

The always-popular Late-Breaking Research session is back for the Annual Meeting, but with a new name: The Latest in Dermatology Research. And that’s not the only new thing! Because of the session’s popularity, this symposium has been extended to allow for more cutting-edge research to be presented. The session is also expanding to accommodate the tremendous growth in dermatologic and cutaneous biology research, said session director Hensin Tsao, MD, PhD.

The Latest in Dermatology Research symposium will highlight the latest groundbreaking clinical and basic research performed by Academy members. Selected abstracts will reflect the best research from clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and basic research in dermatology.

“I am very much looking forward to this session since the presentations will reflect ‘fresh off the gel’ data,” Dr. Tsao said. “This symposium has traditionally been a very popular session, and this year promises to deliver as much of the same energy, enthusiasm, and possibly controversy, as before.”

The sessions will take place on Saturday, March 22, with Part 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Part 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. Part 1 will highlight clinical research and dermatoepidemiology while Part 2 will focus on basic science, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology.

“This symposium may be the first time that a disease association is revealed or a new treatment is unveiled. We all remember where and when we first heard about a major breakthrough that changed lives. The next one could be on a March Saturday in Denver,” Dr. Tsao said.
